Mash is a web site for Irish primary school teachers who wish to plan thematically.  It also allows teachers to be in control of the best links available on the Internet.

On the surface, teachers can simply pick a theme and click on the links to help their planning.  However, the real power happens when teachers get involved!

Teachers can add links to existing themes easily.  If a teacher finds a good web site, (s)he can add it at the bottom of the list of links (called a Mash).  Moreover, a teacher can rate any links that are already posted up.  If a link is rated with a thumbs up, it moves higher up the list of links.  If a link is rated with a thumbs down, it falls down the list.  Given enough bad reviews, the link may disappear forever.

Teachers can also add their own themes by filling in a simple form.  When their theme is approved, links can be added to them in the same way.
